Link Up: The Orchestra Moves

(3rd – 6th grade students)

Link Up LogoThe Carnegie Link Up program guides music teachers and students grades 3–6 through a year-long exploration of symphonic repertoire. This program provides extensive standards-based teacher and student materials and culminates in an interactive orchestral concert in which students are invited to actively participate from their seats by playing recorder, through movement, and by singing along. This year’s Link Up program, The Orchestra Moves, explores how music moves through melody, rhythm, and harmony changes, plus examines other forms of movement we notice when an orchestra plays. Join us and discover how the orchestra moves!
